Sabotage

By now it should be clear to even the most cautious members of the Republican party, Trump voters and conservatives that the left and the Deep State Establishment is at war with this President and by extension the American people. The left simply refuses to accept the reality that they were rejected in the November election by the American voter and they are hysterically attempting to stop the Trump agenda at any cost and by any means necessary. The fact that they are destroying their own party is a by-product and an acceptable price to them, assuming that they are even rational enough to make that cost-benefit calculation. But the bottom line is that they are willing to engage in a scorched-earth policy to get what they want. And they want to stop the Trump agenda.

The first article we have up on this subject comes from The America Spectator and deals with the Washington Post’s predilection for lying to the American people in real big headlines that turn out later to be made up out of whole cloth.

In my professional career in government I have worked for a State Senator, United States Congressman, United States Senator, a successful presidential campaign, a President of the United States and a Cabinet Secretary for a President of the United States. From the get-go I learned a fundamental rule. To wit?

If the boss is alleged to have made a mistake — or actually did make a mistake — you report the mistake either to the boss directly or your immediate superior. Why? So that the boss can correct the mistake if in fact it was a mistake. What you never do is go to the media with some smarmy, self-serving account that portrays you — the employee — as some uber-smart, all-knowing Yoda of whatever the subject. Why?

Because at that point you are about sabotaging your boss. So that you — the un-elected you in this case — can get quiet love-backs from your favorite reporter.

This is, make no mistake, disgusting, disloyal, and ultimately nothing more than the sabotaging of your boss. And, when your boss is President of the United States, the sabotaging of your country.

And Rush has a few things to say about this as well and has done so on his daily radio program.

That should end it. But, of course, we know it won’t because the details are not relevant here. The details of this are not really relevant. The bottom line is this. The bottom line of the Washington Post story is that they have made an ongoing and unilateral decision that getting rid of the president for political purposes is more important than the safety of the American people. It’s more important than U.S. national security, thinks the Washington Post — and I’m sure the rest of the Drive-Bys echo the sentiment.

There is a distinct possibility here that American citizens could die because the Washington Post has decided to interfere with American intelligence decisions, in order to sabotage President Trump. And, by the way, that is what this is. There is an ongoing effort to sabotage Trump personally, politically, professionally. And this sabotage is occurring from within the government and perhaps even from within the Trump administration. It is being aided and abetted by the establishment media.

Without that, the saboteurs and leakers would really not be able to make themselves known or heard. In effect, what the Washington Post has accused the president of doing they have done themselves, and McMaster made the point. National security has been put at risk by leaking of this information. This was a conversation between the president and the Russians. It’s entirely his purview. This parallels… This circus at the ninth circuit, the oral arguments, the judges and the lawyer opposing the Trump administration acknowledge, “Hey, what the president did? Yes, it’s constitutional, but not to us.

Rush on the Budget Extension and K Street

As has been reported elsewhere, the Republicans in the house passed a budget that covers the remaining fiscal year, which takes us to September of 2017. But contrary to the will of the voters who elected those Republicans to advance the Trump agenda, few of those priorities were funded and in fact, many of the agenda items of the new administration were either not funded at all or were funded only in the most limited way. Given that Republicans ostensibly control a majority of seats in both the house and the senate, one has to wonder why the party seems so unwilling to work seriously on the Trump agenda.

In this excerpt from Rush’s radio show, he concludes that the answer is money. The Washington establishment has control of and access to incredible sums of money, much of which ends up in the pockets of politicians of both parties in exchange for legislation that advances the interests of big money donors and numerous special interests. These individuals have no incentive to change things, regardless of election results and so nothing gets done. Politicians are reluctant to rock the boat because they like the riches that flow their way and they do not want to see their incomes cut off.

This, of course, presents a problem for the regular voters of the nation. How does one advance an agenda when your representatives are for sale to the highest bidder who isn’t you? In the end, voters are going to have to find a way to cut off this money supply for good, otherwise, we will never have any say so about what happens to us. A constitutional amendment banning all lobbying by current and former government employees might be a good start.

Donald Trump won the election and he ran and won on a series of issues, and all of them are embodied in this budget, and not a one of these things did Donald Trump seek the presidency by saying he was going to continue. The one thing that is not paid for in this budget is the one thing that Trump made one of his top two vote-getters, and that’s building the wall. And that, of course, is related to immigration.

So what explains this? Why hasn’t there been a flood of legislation emanating from the Republicans in the House and the Senate to begin the process of implementing the Trump agenda? I know, I’ve answered my question. I’m doing this in a rhetorical sense to set up a premise. As I’ve stated many times, the Washington establishment’s totally opposed to Trump. They don’t want anything that Trump campaigned on to happen. They don’t want an outsider coming in and succeeding and thereby demonstrating how it can be done.

Nobody on the outside is supposed to be able to come in and reform Washington and improve it. The establishment has set it up so they have an exclusive, exclusionary club that very few people are capable or qualified to be part of, and that’s that. So the last thing they can afford is for somebody like Trump, who’s not a politician by trade, to come in after winning an election and totally turn the town upside down. They will not do it.

John Brennan Colluded With Foreign Spies to Defeat Trump

The American Spectator reports that former CIA director and Democrat operative John Brennan is hip deep in the spying scandal in which the Deep State tried to undermine the American presidential election and hand an illegitimate victory to Hillary Clinton.

Seeking to retain his position as CIA director under Hillary, Brennan teamed up with British spies and Estonian spies to cripple Trump’s candidacy. He used their phony intelligence as a pretext for a multi-agency investigation into Trump, which led the FBI to probe a computer server connected to Trump Tower and gave cover to Susan Rice, among other Hillary supporters, to spy on Trump and his people.

John Brennan’s CIA operated like a branch office of the Hillary campaign, leaking out mentions of this bogus investigation to the press in the hopes of inflicting maximum political damage on Trump. An official in the intelligence community tells TAS that Brennan’s retinue of political radicals didn’t even bother to hide their activism, decorating offices with “Hillary for president cups” and other campaign paraphernalia.

A supporter of the American Communist Party at the height of the Cold War, Brennan brought into the CIA a raft of subversives and gave them plum positions from which to gather and leak political espionage on Trump. He bastardized standards so that these left-wing activists could burrow in and take career positions. Under the patina of that phony professionalism, they could then present their politicized judgments as “non-partisan.”

Main Democrat Richard Fochtmann is Glad You’re Dying

The Daily Caller reports on one Richard Fochtmann who, as a Democrat and lefty apparently thinks it is a good thing that white men are committing suicide at an alarming rate. Now, of course, we get the immediate “it was a joke” response from the left, but if you want to know what people really think about something, you should ignore the later “clarification” in favor of what they say up front. It is generally the more honest response.

That the left has become virulently anti-male and anti-white should no longer be in doubt. Their statements both in public and private are in agreement with their destructive policies and videos like this one are just more evidence of the hate that they carry in their souls for Americans who work hard, play by the rules and try to make a life for themselves while under constant attack by the left.

More Riots in Berkley

Over the weekend left-wing communist front groups rioted in Berkley California as they have been doing since the election. But based on the video at Return of Kings things didn’t go so well for them.

One thing you can always count on is the self-delusion of the left. In a recent conversation with a white liberal chick, I heard the standard pleas for the understanding we should feel for the oppressed group Black Lives Matter (more than yours.) But those who have bothered to do a bit of homework, know that BLM is a Marxist terrorist organization devoted to killing cops and white people as often as they can get away with it.

Discover the Networks has a good rundown on the group that brings to light all of the sordid details. The reality is that they are just another of the many anti-American left-wing hate groups that the left is so good at creating. And given the reality of crime statistics in this country, it should be no surprise that most sane people don’t want to give them the time of day. So if you are concerned about how your particular group is perceived by the general public, you might want to start with the behavior that is causing people to think ill of you and to shun you when they can.

The Left’s Hostility to Poor Whites

At Frontpage Magazine Danusha V. Goska provides us with a moving essay on the numerous ways in which the leftist elites disparage, denigrate and demonize poor white Americans, particularly if those individuals happen to be from the wrong side of the tracks. The left’s hate for the white working class has erupted into full-blown bigotry displayed in all of their favorite media outlets and of course in those institutions that have come under their control such as the modern university. It is not a pretty picture to see such vile hate and condescension but that is the world that we now live in.

Fortunately, there are signs that this kind of loathing for the bedrock Americans who work hard and play by the rules is getting some of the push-back that it deserves. Certainly, the political winds have been changing over the last eight years with the rise of the right and the dwindling of the left’s political power. One could easily argue that the Obama years had a galvanizing effect on Americans such that they have come to explicitly reject the ideas and self-righteous narrative of the left in favor of the populism of a Donald Trump.

Americans have reached this new understanding I think because they have seen the destruction in their own lives caused by the left’s ideas and policies. The Obama years have left a considerable trail of destruction that has done untold damage to the country in ways that go against the leftist narrative. And this damage has reached down to harm many, if not most of her citizens in ways both large and small. It would seem that we have turned a corner on the march to the liberal utopia. Of course, we are just at the beginning of this process, but we are moving in the right direction. We must continue to work towards the goal of reversing the damage that the left has done and put the country on the right path once again.

I attended college decades ago, shortly after the Civil Rights successes of the 1960s, and during the rise of the Polak joke, and the evil redneck Southerner as the most reliable go-to cinematic villain. Deliverance was released in 1972, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974, and The Deer Hunter, about a bunch of working class, rust belt Bohunks who are somehow single-handedly both responsible for and victims of the Vietnam War, was released in 1978.

Like a lot of poor whites, I attended a “non-selective” school. We worked as waitresses, gas station attendants, and landscapers, took a shower, and went to class. Our professors, with Ivy League degrees and attitudes, held us in open contempt. In English classes, we were assigned to read, of course, the canon: Shakespeare, Hawthorne, Hemingway. We were also assigned to read works newly appearing on college syllabi, like The House on Mango Street, about Chicanos and Puerto Ricans, and The Color Purple. Our professors divided the world into elite whites and struggling, noble “people of color.” I was never assigned anything that reflected the life I or my friends lived. There were no struggling white people on our syllabi. No one like my mother who worked two minimum-wage jobs: running a noisy, stinking wick machine in a candle factory during the day and cleaning offices at night. My mother told me that she once saw a police officer kick my downed father in the stomach. This story could not be told at college; in the professors’ world, only black men were ever mistreated by police. There were no white girls like me who worked full time as nurse’s aides, attended school full time, and got straight A grades. No, I enjoyed “white privilege,” the equivalent of a comic book hero superpower, that magically protected me from all harm and delivered into my lap whatsoever my heart desired.

My friends and I survived on contraband wordsmiths we passed around with urgency, as if they were bits of bread in a distant prison. I didn’t learn of Anzia Yezierska, Jean Shepherd, Jack Kerouac, Bruce Springsteen, or Dorothy Allison from teachers; I learned about them from friends, and they kept me going. When I mentioned to my betters how much their work meant to me, I was given little lectures about why their work was not “art.”

If we told our stories, our professors’ stories, about rich, empowered whites and struggling, noble minorities, would crumble. We poor, white college students were not allowed either sympathy for our struggle nor pride in our successes. If we had to work menial, minimum-wage jobs, it was because that was all we deserved. If we got A grades in spite of lives that left us exhausted and tuition bills that left us eating potatoes for a week, we got those A grades because we were privileged.

The 2016 Election Map

Benny Johnson at Independent Journal Review reports on the work of Ryne Rohla at Decision Desk HQ who has created a remarkably detailed map of the nation down to the precinct level. This map shows just how badly the Democrats lost in the November election and why they should be very concerned about their future.

Precinct data, despite providing the clearest available picture of how areas vote, can be quite difficult to both come by and to visualize. There isn’t a singular, unified source of precinct-level data nationally nor even at the statewide level in many cases. Precinct boundaries frequently shift over time, especially during the decennial redistricting process following each Census.

After spending most of my spare time in 2015 working on a global religion map, the 2016 Presidential Primaries rolled around, and I decided to go for it: I would do everything in my power to create a national precinct map. I didn’t have a team of researchers. I didn’t have aides. I didn’t have much extra money. I didn’t have connections. But for some reason, I thought I could do it anyway.

Hundreds of emails and phone calls and months of work later, here’s what I came up with:

Unmasking Susan Rice

Matthew Vadum at Front Page Magazine provides us with some useful background on former national security advisor Susan Rice, who apparently has a tenuous connection to facts and reality. Rice is now at the center of the Obama domestic spying scandal in which government agencies were used to advance the Obama administration’s political goals while breaking federal privacy laws. Using domestic intelligence agencies in this manner is a very serious crime if you get caught. Felonies abound.

We still don’t know who asked then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice to unmask those names – or if she acted on her own initiative. But the most likely culprit has to be President Obama himself, along with those in his inner circle such as his Islamist CIA director John Brennan and his slimy national security aide Ben Rhodes.

But whoever did the deed, it appears someone used America’s taxpayer-funded national security apparatus to engage in likely unlawful espionage against an opposition presidential campaign, an incoming administration, and that administration’s transition team. It’s the stuff of banana republics, which makes sense because Obama spent eight long, lawless years trying to turn the United States into precisely that.

Those persons may have participated in a virtual fishing expedition to dig up dirt on Team Trump and cripple his administration with scandals like the still-unproven collusion between Trump’s people and Russia and the seemingly wild claim that Russia somehow “hacked” the November election.

Susan Rice has no shortage of chutzpah.

The Left’s Civil War

Daniel Greenfield at Front Page Magazine brings us this story describing the now familiar insurgency being waged by Democrats and leftists in the Deep State against the Trump administration and, by extension, against the American people who voted for him.

What’s different about our current situation is the ferocity and desperation of the left. Greenfield doesn’t really address this, but it should be noted that the left really thought that they were going to win this election. Greenfield says that the left was creating a consensus during the Obama years, but that isn’t really true. Rather, the left believed they were going to win because their allies in the Legacy Media told them so. But it was an illusion. After eight years of Obama and the daily injection of leftism into their lives, regular people across the country had had enough. And looking back we can see the way in which Democrats were wiped out over the course of four election cycles to the point that they are now a weak, regional party located in isolated liberal enclaves.

It is true, as Greenfield writes, that the leftists in the Deep State constitute a shadow government that is at war with the legitimate one that was elected in November. But that shadow government is fighting a rear-guard action that is unlikely to win in the long run. The people of the country have made their wishes clear and they have rejected the left in the most dramatic way possible by electing Donald Trump. The tide of history is now shifting back to the right, which is where regular Americans have been all along. The real question is what will be required to get our institutions of government and our culture to move back to the center where they belong.

There is no form of legal authority that the left accepts as a permanent institution. It only utilizes forms of authority selectively when it controls them. But when government officials refuse the orders of the duly elected government because their allegiance is to an ideology whose agenda is in conflict with the President and Congress, that’s not activism, protest, politics or civil disobedience; it’s treason.

After losing Congress, the left consolidated its authority in the White House. After losing the White House, the left shifted its center of authority to Federal judges and unelected government officials. Each defeat led the radicalized Democrats to relocate from more democratic to less democratic institutions.

This isn’t just hypocrisy. That’s a common political sin. Hypocrites maneuver within the system. The left has no allegiance to the system. It accepts no laws other than those dictated by its ideology.

Democrats have become radicalized by the left. This doesn’t just mean that they pursue all sorts of bad policies. It means that their first and foremost allegiance is to an ideology, not the Constitution, not our country or our system of government. All of those are only to be used as vehicles for their ideology.

That’s why compromise has become impossible.

Paul Ryan, Political Klutz

The American Thinker has a good article here by John Ellis that gives us some needed background and reminders of just how incompetent Paul Ryan has been as a political leader and how his tone-deafness created the entirely unnecessary first attempt at Obamacare repeal and replace. Ryan has a tin ear and awful instincts that make him a loose cannon liable to wreck the most advantageous political environment. President Trump would be well advised to keep a very tight leash on Ryan as long as he is the Speaker of the House or he could easily derail the rest of the Trump agenda.

Everyone knows that a competent lawyer never asks a question in court to which he doesn’t already know the answer. And likewise, a competent political leader never puts a piece of legislation up for a vote without having a good idea of what the vote will be. But when Paul Ryan released his American Health Care Act he evidently had no idea what its reception would be. Whole sections of his own party were angered, and it was obvious that his bill had no chance of passage without truly major changes.

Why didn’t Ryan know all of that before he published the bill? A skilled leader sounds out the major opinion centers in his party to get a sense of what it will take to get them all on board, so that by the time the bill is published he knows where everyone stands and how they will vote. By going public with his bill before ascertaining the lay of the land, Ryan has created an ugly rift within his party, delayed and endangered the forward movement of the Trump administration, and further alienated a GOP base which has long been exasperated by the ineffectiveness of its congressional leaders. But Paul Ryan’s political incompetence is by now a very old story.

As the 2016 primary election season was about to begin, Ryan negotiated with the Obama administration an omnibus budget bill once more without bothering to find out what his party would and would not accept. And so he was surprised to find that his Republicans were more than disappointed: they were furious. His agreement funded almost every hot button issue that Obama was desperate to have funded and Republicans were just as determined not to fund: Obama’s illegal executive amnesty was funded, his Muslim refugee program funded, sanctuary cities funded, yet there was no money for a border fence. House Democrats were so delighted that 90% of them voted in favor of the agreement while only 60% of Republicans voted affirmatively, and many of those voted as they did not because they liked the deal, but because they didn’t want to humiliate a new leader. Simmering annoyance with a chronically passive and inept GOP congressional leadership became white hot anger.  This may well have been the point at which Donald Trump’s winning the party nomination became inevitable. Ryan could not have done more to promote his candidacy.

Freedomwatchusa.org Letter on Domestic Spying

Freedomwatchusa.org sent this letter detailing information that they have uncovered about more spying on the American people. This letter is written by Larry Klayman, the founder of Freedomwatch and also a founder of Judicial Watch.

Montgomery left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified, and sought to come forward legally as a whistleblower to appropriate government entities, including congressional intelligence committees, to expose that the spy agencies were engaged for years in systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, again including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly.

Working side by side with former Obama Director of National Intelligence (“DIA”) James Clapper, who lied in Congressional testimony, and former Obama Director of the CIA, the equally ethically challenged John Brennan, Montgomery witnessed “up close and personal” this “Orwellian Big Brother” intrusion on privacy, likely for potential coercion, blackmail or other nefarious purposes.
