This article from Alfred S. Regnery at Breitbart tells us that the establishment Republicans are dragging their feet on the Trump agenda. This is not entirely surprising and so it will be up to us to put pressure on every Senator and congress critter we can think of starting with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Therefore I have typed up a general letter that you are free to use and adapt to your own needs. If you are one of those who wants change, then please take action and send some letters. Yes, emails are faster, but the people on Capitol Hill tend to take actual physical letters more seriously, so get your stamps out and fire up your printers.
Senator Mitch McConnell
317 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington DC 20510
Dear Senator McConnell,
I am writing to you to let you know that like millions of Americans I voted for Donald Trump for president and we are anxious to see his conservative agenda put into action by loyal Republicans (and bi-partisan Democrats) as soon as possible. After eight years of corruption, negligence, and incompetence from the previous administration we finally have a chance to put the nation back on a firm foundation with a strong economy, a commitment to a strong national defense and government that works for, rather than against the interests of its people.
Sadly it seems that many of those in congress have not gotten the message of the recent election; the message that we Americans want change and decisive action from our elected representatives in order to rise to the many challenges that we face as a nation.
At a time when millions of people are out of work and the economy is still struggling, it makes no sense to delay the president’s agenda. Even now, many millions of American citizens have been trying to find work in a tight job market. We should be helping Americans find work by solving our economic problems. In order to do that we need to work to pass the president’s plans and policies into law as soon as possible.
The media reports that Republicans on Capitol Hill have been dragging their feet. I must tell you that this news is very disappointing to those of us who vote regularly in both elections and especially in Republican primaries. American voters want action, not delays.
Therefore I urge you not to make the mistake of failing to support the Trump agenda. Americans are urgently waiting for action from Republicans in Washington who have it in their power to get the country back on the right track again. America can be great again. I urge you and all Republicans to get moving now on behalf of the American people.
